The London All Cossack Stanitsa was founded in 1951 by the late Colonel  Mikhail Alekseevich Taratuchin, a Kuban Cossack who was asked by the then  Kuban Ataman  General  Vyatcheslav Naumenko and the famous poet Colonel Nikolai Turoverov (a Don Cossack  who was in charge of the Cossack Union in Paris) to organise Cossacks in the UK into stanitsas/organisations.

The London Stanitsa is the last surviving cossack organisation in the UK.
